Privacy Policy

Pixel Days · Effective 1 October 2026

The short version

Who we are

Pixel Days (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a mood tracker made by an independent developer, Devloop. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at info.devloop@gmail.com.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter is saved in a database on your device:

We can't see this data. It stays on your device unless you choose to sync, export or share it. Your phone's own backup service (such as Google or iCloud device backup) may include app data, depending on your phone settings. That is handled by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies.

Mood entries and notes can be personal and may relate to your health or wellbeing. We treat them as sensitive. We never use them for advertising, profiling or any purpose other than showing them to you.

What leaves your phone, and why

Purchases (RevenueCat, Google Play, App Store)

When you buy Pixel Days Pro, the payment is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active Pro subscription. To do this, RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat never receives your moods, notes or other journal data. We never receive your payment card details. Google and Apple process payments under their own privacy policies.

Cloud Sync (Pro, optional)

Cloud Sync is off unless you sign in to turn it on. It backs up your data and keeps it the same across your devices. It uses Supabase, a cloud database provider, to store your data. When you turn it on:

Your synced data is sent over encrypted connections. Access rules on the database mean only your signed-in account can read or change your rows. We only access it when needed to keep the service running or to answer a support request you send us.

If your Pro subscription ends, sync pauses. Your data stays on your phone and in your account and is not deleted.

Things you share or export

You can export your data as CSV or JSON, or share a monthly poster image. These are only created when you ask for them, and they go wherever you send them through your phone's share menu. Once shared, they are handled by the app or person you shared them with.

Notifications

Daily reminders are scheduled on your phone. They don't go through a server, and we don't use push notifications.

What we don't do

Permissions

PermissionWhy
NotificationsTo send your daily reminder at the time you choose. You can turn it off in the app or in your phone settings.
InternetTo check your Pro status, complete purchases and, if you turn it on, sync your data.

How long we keep data

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Because most of your data never reaches us, you can do most of this yourself in the app. For anything else, email us and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where these laws apply, we process your data to provide the app and the Pro features you buy, and, for Cloud Sync, because you chose to turn it on. You can stop sync at any time by signing out.

Security

Data sent between the app and our service providers is encrypted in transit. Synced data is protected by access controls that tie each row to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we handle as small as possible.

International transfers

Our service providers (RevenueCat, Supabase, Google and Apple) may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. They protect it using legal safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

Pixel Days is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has given us personal data through Cloud Sync, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as a new kind of data leaving your phone, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
